Above are all the reasons why we are taking precautions.  Please read it and discuss the following. I want you to feel free to speak about your experience with what's happening today. Answer the following:
  • How are you feeling?
  • How has your daily routine been disrupted?

  1. 1. I do not like that everyone is worrying so much about the virus even though it is easily. I know that it is a big thing but I do not like having to life my life in fear.
    2. My daily routine has been disrupted because I am unable to go to school and see all of my friends. I do get to wake up later, but I don't like how this has affected me.
    3. My family refuses to let us outside and it is kind of annoying me. They are taking every precaution and are making sure that none of us catch the virus.
    4. I am taking care of myself the same way I was. I always washed my hands either way and used hand sanitizer before every meal or when I get on and off the bus/train.

  2. - I'm feeling frustrated
    - Yes my daily routine has been disrupted a lot
    - my family has not been impacted that much except for the fact that my mom is an assistant teacher and lost her job.
    - I'm taking good care of myself. I'm washing my hands a lot more than usual and I always bring hand sanitizer wherever I go.

This overall experience has been weird. I don't know what to do with myself. I've been stuck in my house for three days and i'm really bored

  3. 1. I am feeling tired
    2. My daily routine has been disrupted because I am no longer able to physically go to school, I now have to learn through online classes.
    3. My family has been impacted because we are now constantly worried about each others wellbeing, especially for my grandmother, who is already weak due to existing illnesses.
    4. I am taking care of myself as I would normally do, washing my hands frequently, especially after using public transportation, or using hand sanitizer when there is not a bathroom nearby.

In short, this experience has been a little overwhelming. Everyone is worried about what will happen to us, our families, and the country. I hope that all this will end soon.

  4. 1. I am feeling relieved and worried. I'm relieved because I am glad that America's situation isn't as bad as other countries like Italy. I'm worried because in places like Italy, over 300 people die in just 24 hours.

    2. Yes, my daily routine has been disrupted. Now, I have to video chat with my teachers and classmates everyday. Also, I have to buy fewer things at supermarkets because there are limits on certain items.

    3. My family has been impacted because we're worried about my grandparents and other older people in my family who have pre-existing conditions. Also, my mom has to take off from work.

    4. I do what I normally do like wash my hands after I use the bathroom or before I eat. Especially, since my parents are germaphobes. I clean my phone. I use hand sanitizer if I touch a doorknob or something that everyone else comes in contact with. I try to stop touching my face.

Overall, this experience has been strange and very new. I just feel bad for the parents especially if they have younger children because now they have to scramble to find someone to watch their kids and some people are losing money due to their profession. It gets quite annoying especially when you turn on the tv and coronavirus is all you hear about on every channel but it is what it is. But, I guess I'll have to get used to it like everyone else. I hope this will end soon.

  5. 1. I feel comfortable at home, and I feel that I am safe here. I do worry about others who have been exposed to others. I prey for those battling this, and wish them nothing but the best.

2.My daily routine has been disrupted, but for the best. I feel that I don't have to worry as much about the virus at home as I did when I traveled to and from school. Since we get out earlier online, I have heaps of time to catch up on all my school work and make sure it's all done.

3.My family has been impacted. My mother has been told to stay home from work, until April 1st. My father works in a hospital, and was not told to stay home. However, he makes sure to wash his hands before going into work, leaving work, and when he gets home.

    4. I always washed my hands after using the bathroom, when I got home. However, this pandemic made me 100 times more aware of when to wash my hands. I also started wiping my phone down with alcohol pads, since your phone does have more bacteria on it then a toilet seat. I recommend cleaning your phone case, just to be on the safe side.

  6. 1. I am feeling a little unnerved. Although I do not believe I will catch the disease, I went out to the supermarket recently and it was extremely crowded and there were many empty shelves and I have never seen an empty shelf in that store.

    2. My daily routine has been disrupted due to schools now being closed. I would usually get to school at 7:00am and would stay there till around 2:35 or longer and it would take me 30 minutes to get home. Without that school time periods, I wake up later (around 7:30) and finish classes at 1:00pm without having to drive home or take the train since I am already home.

    3. My sister who is in college has come home as a result of this recent outbreak. I usually stay in her room while she is at school since I would share a room otherwise. Now that she is home again, I have to share a room again with my other sister. My mom will also be home soon since she is a public school teacher.

    4. I am always washing my hands as usual and I have tried to minimize the amount of food I am eating since I have not been as mobile as usual since sports are cancelled. I have also been cleaning my phone more frequently.

4.I am doing what I normally do by washing my hands before I eat or after using the bathroom. But also I use hand sanitizer when I go on public transportation.

This experience has been slightly overwhelming, because of the drastic changes to my everyday routine and the impact it has had on my friends and family.

  8. 1. I feel a bit frustrated and cautious. This is because I am more attentive bout the things I touch and the amount of times I've washed my hands. But I feel frustrated because I'm not allowed to leave my house and I feel bored and suffocated.

    2. My daily routine has been disrupted because I would usually go outside at least once a day to either get groceries or to go out with my friends. However, due to the lock down, I am unable to do so.

    3. My family has been impacted because my cousin has been unable to go to work, and my family members are not making as much income they would make in comparison to a typical day.

    4. I am taking care of myself by washing my hands and coughing in my sleeves.

This experience was a bit unexpected. I say this because I didn't expect the virus to blow out of proportion like the way it did.

  9. 1.I'm a little angry about the whole situation because I feel like there are people blowing this out of proportion and making it more than it is. Yes, this is a big deal but I don't agree with how the people are acting especially when it comes to panic buying. I, personally am a little scared about the virus itself because as many people in this class know, I don't have the greatest immune system, so I'm a little nervous about getting it.

2.My daily routine has been disrupted because I would normally go to school and walk home to enjoy the fresh air but now I'm not even allowed to leave the house anymore.

    3. My family has been impacted because my dad now has to work from home and my sisters and I all have to do our classwork in our rooms.

    4. I am taking care of myself and keeping in mind to continue washing my hands all the time and use hand sanitizer. I am also making sure that I get some type of fresh air throughout the week.

    3. My family has been impacted by making us wear masks and gloves every time we go out as well as make sure we don't over use what we have, just in case something happens.

    4. I am taking care of myself by washing my hands daily as well as making sure I don't get sick.
